Whether you think so or not, your brothers and sisters are watching you. Even if they are older than you, they are watching. Joseph was younger than his brothers and ended up leading them. God placed Joseph in a position to help his family despite the fact that this brothers meant harm toward him. You never know what God has planned in your life in order to help your siblings – even if you’re the youngest 🙂
1 Timothy 4:12 – Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Growing in Christ develops your character and your Christ-like spirit. This is what people see and what your siblings will be watching for. If you snap at them because they irritate you, that doesn’t show Christ’s love.
Impatience can ruin your testimony in heart beat.
Show them Christ’s love through your actions – through the way you treat them – through the little things that you can do for them. Playing games with your younger sister when you don’t feel like it will go far 🙂 Braiding her hair or playing house with her will form wonderful memories and will build a strong foundation for your relationship as sisters.
See what you can do today to nurture your relationship with your siblings by showing them Christ’s love!
