Weariness

weary1

~Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

You’ve been there at one time or another, haven’t you, teen girl? You’re tired of the drama at school. You’re tired of being under attack. You’re tired of the battle that every born-again Christian seems to fight with the unbelieving world. You’re tired of being ridiculed because of Christ’s name. Today’s saying really applies to every weary believer:

Been there, done that!

Don’t be discouraged, teen girl! Our Lord suffered this first. He was mocked, ridiculed and crucified because of Who He was. But yet He continued on. Jesus left you with His Word to encourage your heart – all you have to do is find the verses which will bless you! When you are tired, you take a nap and rest, right? When you are weary, you must turn to God’s Word for that pick-me-up. Forget your Monster drink – that’s only temporary!

Find a great place to send your eyes and head and to get your brain headed in the right direction. Look at a picture of nature of a beautiful open field or mountain. Next, find verses that will quench your thirsty soul and lift your weary head. This verse is probably one of the most quoted verses and I can see why. Each time I read these words, my heart is uplifted and I am ready to tackle my day.

Why not allow the Lord to restore you today?

~Psalm 23:3a He restoreth my soul:

Today’s verse is one of those. When you are at our wit’s end and feel you can’t go on, teen girl, the Lord is there to renew you.
